How To Become Great At What You Are Doing
INTRO:
We all
know that there’s a difference between being successful and achieving
greatness, you can be successful at what you are doing but you still don’t feel
the greatness in you. Some people have decided to know how they can be great at what they are doing and this blog post is to help you know how you can become
great at what you do.
1)
Do It From Freewill: Freewill is the number one most
important point. That is why it is not advisable for parents to influence the
decisions of their children [especially in the carrier aspect]. No Great man or
woman became great by doing what they don’t love doing. I can write out a list
full of examples but I’ll give you just an example using the man who invented a
light bulb [Thomas Edison]. Thomas Edison’s parents never forced him to create
a light bulb but he rather chooses to walk that part because of his
own freewill. If you really want to become great at what you are doing, you
must be doing it all from your own
freewill. Imagine a situation whereby Edison’s parents prevented him from
inventing a light bulb and forced him into inventing a ceiling fan, do you
think he would have been among the list of those who achieved greatness? [I
think he wouldn’t have been among them or could have even been a failure
because inventing a ceiling fan was not his will]. It is not just about parents
or guardians, it sometimes depends on your own mind [your reason], you must not
do anything under the influence of something which is wrong and you must also
be zealous about what you are doing. If you could do a little research with me,
you will see that certain things which are done by some kids, youths and even adults are not done out of
free will [that’s why some people find it difficult to achieve greatness].

2)
Do Not Copy:
Copying ideas has never led to true greatness; everybody who became great must
have come up with his or her own idea and thoughts. Those who copy from others
are like copy cats who cannot create and walk their own path to greatness, all
they do is to follow and also tap from someone else’s greatness [which is not
True Greatness!]. If you really want to be great at that thing you’ve got in
your palm, you must not copy what others are doing or you are likely to be
somewhere around average and poor which is below greatness. Create your own
ideas and thoughts because that’s one of the things that’ll single out your own
greatness. Copying can really cause you a lot of hard times in life, so it is
required of you to create and walk your own path and not somebody’s path
because when you walk a path that is not yours, you are walking into someone’s
greatness not yours.

3)
Learn Daily:
Learning daily is another step to become great, it also enhances your quality
of life; it helps you avoid copying and helps you gain confidence. In as much
as learning daily does these things, it also improves your mental health [it
improves your mental ability to create more challenging goals that leads to
greatness]. There are still more advantages of learning daily and I think and
also know that you really need it as one of the stairs to greatness. Note: when I talk of learning daily, I
do not just mean learning daily but learning new things every day.

4)
Always Do What You Do With All Your
Strength:
Hard work is a necessity,
you cannot become great by working with little inputs because only those who
sow greatly reap greatly. If you really want to go beyond average, you’ll have
to work hard beyond average [your level of greatness depends on your level of
hard work]. Considering this fact, you must always work so hard because that’s
one of the requirements of greatness.

5)
Find A Mentor: Finding a mentor is another
great tool in this journey of yours; mentors [good mentors] are always willing
to teach what they know. So, while you do it from your freewill, you don’t
copy, you learn daily, and you do it with all your strength, you should also
find a mentor who is ready to look at you as his or her mentee, a mentor who
has achieved greatness and is ready to tell you how to get there, a mentor who
has got your back. It is so bad that some people live their lives and even
chase their goals and dreams without a mentor, so bad. Having a mentor has a
whole lot of superb advantages.
